I'm some sort of artist. A decent artist even. Or, a questionable artist and a decent programmer, depending on who you ask. I didn't really plan on doing these things together, but everything sort of lead in this direction, and I've managed to do a lot of cool stuff in joining the two disparate worlds ... into one nifty but still pretty disparate world.
Career-wise, I've been working in the game industry since 2000, when I started at Digital Anvil working on an xbox launch title. I'd actually been doing a lot of game art years before that, but that was my first full-time gig.
It's 11 years later, and it's pretty much a blur now. Currently I'm a Senior Technical Artist at Vicarious Visions in Albany, NY. My job is hard and I like it that way.
That picture up there is me after I slipped in a creek and punched a rock with my chin. I'm not sure why I picked that picture exactly. I suppose to remind people that I'm not actually very smart.
In my spare time I enjoy photography, hiking, drawing (!), lights, lasers, electronics, wood & metal work, building things that probably shouldn't exist, and amazingly ... I still enjoy programming.
Also I have a cat. I think it's autistic.
I named him Gizmo, just in case.
